ETIENNE-PAUL BOTES

Etienne began his career in advertising research, building models of consumer behaviour. He then co-founded Vortex, a Switzerland-based CTA investment manager. Etienne has spent more than 29 years developing quantitative investment strategies and is the inventor of the Vortex Indicator (2010), now used worldwide. He holds a postgraduate Commerce degree with majors in Economics, Business Economics and Marketing. Etienne is also the co-inventor of the proprietary AlphaScience Allocation Engine.

VICTORIA ROBERTS

Victoria was awarded the medal for best-performing student in her postgraduate Commerce degree. She began her career at the index tracker arm of Old Mutual Investment Group in South Africa, before serving as Portfolio Manager at Vortex, a Swiss CTA investment manager. Victoria brings over 22 years’ experience in investment management and is the co-inventor of the proprietary AlphaScience Allocation Engine.

JENS-CHRISTIAN CAPPELØRN

Christian previously served as Managing Partner of Insights International, his management consultancy specialising in strategy and innovation. His clients included Coca-Cola, Unilever, General Motors, Apple, LEGO, Volvo, Sony, Carlsberg, Pernod Ricard, LVMH, Nestlé, Virgin, Warner, Mastercard and McKinsey & Company. Christian holds two master’s degrees - an MSc in Economics and Business Administration, and an MSc in Sociology - and is currently active in board work and private equity investments.
